well... if you were to ask me what's my most anticipated movie for 2009... i would never choose summer blockbusters like star trek, terminator salvation, harry potter 6 and transformers 2... instead i would choose tom cruise's new movie ---- Valkyrie

For your information, valkyrie is a historical thriller set in nazi germany during world war 2 that depicts the july 20 1944 plot by german army officers to assasinate the nazi fuhrer, adolf hitler. The plot, also known as operation valkyrie...was led by wehrmacht officers like claus von stauffenberg, herning von tresckow, ludwig beck, friedrich olbricht and more... they planned to kill not only adolf hitler but also heinrich himmler, the head of SS and also the architect of the holocaust...


well... the ending of this film is actually predictable as adolf hitler didn't die until april 30 1945 when he committed suicide with his new wife eva braun in his fuhrerbunker after he realized that the war was all but lost when soviet's red army began to take over the nazi germany's capital berlin that time... So obviously the plot had failed... well i had already knew the fate of these germany officers after the plot had failed... but i wouldn't tell you guys... because i don't want to be a spoiler...


probably you guys will be wondering why i choose this movie as my most anticipated movie instead of summer blockbusters like transformers 2 , terminator salvation etc etc... this is because... well... as you guys know... i'm a history buff... especially world war 2... so of cause i will be anticipate this kind of movie... ( sejarah is the only subject that i can remain A1 all the time when i was in secondary school =D)

i think you guys probably wouldn't enjoy this movie or don't even bother to see it because according to the internet... this is a dialogue-heavy movie... =.=

the movie will be screened in malaysian cinemas on 12th of february onwards... can't wait for it...

The Bad Guys :

Friedrich Fromm... head of the nazi's reserved army... he was aware of claus von stauffenberg and other plotters intention to kill hitler... but he choose to remain quiet... when the assasination attempt failed... he ordered the execution of those conspirators he knew... most notably claus von stauffenberg... his chief of staff...

adolf hitler... the evil dictator of the nazi germany...anti-semitism...was appointed as the chancellor of germany in 1933 and quickly established a fascist dictatorship... authorized the holocaust and also the execution on his potential enemies... most notably his good partner ernst rohm... besides... he also ordered the execution of most of the german resistance fighters such as sophie scholl, hans scholl and more... he started the world war 2 by invading poland... formed axis power with italy and imperial japan... he made a huge mistake by invading the soviet union... after the defeat of the nazis to the soviets in the battle of stalingrad... hitler's fortune changed tremendously and he eventually lost the war... he later committed suicide on april 30 1945 in his bunker...

heinrich himmler... the head of SS... he was the main architect of the holocaust(killing of jews)... for your information... he was voted as the greatest mass murderer of all time by a german magazine... after the world war had ended... he was captured by the allies on 22 may 1945... he later committed suicide on 23 may 1945 by biting a cyanide pill before the interrogation on him could begin...
